Guardians of the Wall Playtest Tier Lists

Pre-release ranks for jobs and weapons — labeled as snapshots, not gospel.

Tier List Hub

Tier lists for an upcoming game are a trap if they pretend to be patch 1.0 truth. Guardians of the Wall has no public win rates, no named twelve-hero grid, and a first playtest that started 3 September 2026. This hub still exists because players search for “best Guardian” and “best weapon” the moment a Steam page goes live. We answer those searches with jobs and weapon types, not with invented names, and we stamp every rank as a pre-release read.

  • Hero tier list — frontliner, ranged specialist, elemental caster, plus the horned heavy as a silhouette
  • Weapon tier list — melee, shotgun-style firearms, grenades, off-hand abilities

When Boiling Bits publishes a real roster, both child pages get names and this hub gets a date line. Until then, use the lists to pick a seat for a four-stack, then learn the verbs on combat and controls.

How these ranks were made

Sources, in order: Steam feature list, announcement trailer, store screenshots, Boiling Bits’ Reddit note about melee-plus-guns, and the two-layer progression on the store page. Not sources: mobile wall-defense games with a similar title, Roblox experiences, or “leaked” spreadsheets.

A rank here means “this job or weapon type looks like it solves the problems the trailer creates.” It does not mean S-tier in a tournament that does not exist. If the playtest reveals that casters eat villages alive, the hero page will move. Check the updates hub when a patch lands.

How to use a tier list in a playtest

Do not lock a group of four into the same S-tier screenshot. The co-op guide wants mixed jobs. If frontline is A-tier and you already have two, the next player should take ranged even if ranged is listed lower. Composition beats a color letter.

Solo players may ignore team ranks and take the job that covers their own worst habit. That is usually frontline. The Guardian roster explains why.

Spend after the rank, not before. A weapon type in S-tier is still a waste if you never fire it. Hero builds is the spend order; this hub is the conversation starter.

What will change after Q1 2027

Launch will add named heroes, rarity, and probably a weapon that makes this entire shotgun-first read look quaint. We will keep a “playtest snapshot” section so old ranks stay honest instead of being silently rewritten. Upcoming games deserve history, not amnesia.

If you opened this hub looking for codes or a Trello leak, you are in the wrong place. There is no public code list for this Steam title. Official channels are on the links hub. For how a raid actually feels when the ranks meet a village, go to raids and bosses.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is this a live-service meta tier list?

No. The game is upcoming for Q1 2027. Ranks are pre-release reads of jobs and weapon types.

Why are there no character names?

Boiling Bits has not published a named roster. We refuse to invent one. See the Guardian roster.

Should our whole group play the S-tier job?

No. Mix seats. The co-op guide explains why four identical kits wipe together.

When will these lists be updated?

After playtest notes and after named heroes ship. Watch the updates hub.
